Top 10 Instagram Posts of 2015
If it happened in 2015, it was shared on Instagram, and if it was shared on Instagram, whatever it was was likely about to get a whole lot more desirable. To list just a few examples, the Ice Bucket Challenge, inflatable swans, Calvin Harris, #nofilter, flat whites and latte art, check-ins at airports, sunsets and landscapes, #tbt and #wcw , green juices, working out and eating clean, #sorrynotsorry, memes, Victoria’s Secrets, food porn and anything to do with Kylie Jenners lips.
Back in September, Instagram had 440 million active users, and with statistics like that, there is no denying that 2015 was a hugely important year for the picture and video sharing giant. So sit tight and see if you remember the 10 most loved* (we think anything over 2 million ‘likes’ amounts to ‘love’) pictures on Instagram in 2015.
10) In 10th place with an impressive 2.2 million likes is the supermodel of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kendal Jenner. This simple selfie was posted to celebrate Kendal reaching 20 million followers on the site.
9) This is closely followed by Taylor Swift in 9th place posting her own, early morning selfie with her cat Meredith which was enjoyed by a smooth 2.3 million Instagrammers, all of whom we reckon cleansed, toned and moisturised their faces before they went to bed that night.

8) But Selena Gomez pips Talor to the post here in 8th place with ever-so-slightly more than 2.3 likes from followers, all of whom are really showing the love for her ‘fav’ (but actually very average and only partially visible) sweatshirt.
7) 7th spot is snapped up, again, by Taylor and Meredith at ‘Meerkat Manor’.

6) Kylie Jenner shows off her credentials in her graduation picture with got the thumbs up from 2.3 million of her 48.5 million followers.
5) Defying all rhyme and reason, 5th place is Taylor and Meredith, again, and their astounding 2.4 million likes.

4) Not to be outdone, Queen Bey makes an appearance in 4th place with Baby Blue Ivy which gets the thumbs up from another 2.4 million people.
3) Walking away from 2015 in third place is Taylor but this time she’s traded in her cat Meredith for Calvin Harris. 2.5 million followers showed their support for the change in alliance; we wonder how many of them were Scottish.

2) Appearing for the 5th and final time in this countdown and in second place is Taylor Swift and an expensive looking stack of flowers from #BFF Kayne.
1) But taking the title for the most liked Instagram photo of 2015, and the crown from her half-sister Kim, is Kendal Jenner. The Instagram extraordinaire puts on display the Kardashian-Jenners second best asset, their hair which, when it was styled into heart shapes, really set Instagram alight. Kendal’s heart hair was loved by a whooping 3.4 million Instagrammers.
