A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Pounds…Literally!
Instagram… whether you love it or hate it, is a great way to post selfies (without seeming TOO vain 😉 ), your food porn, pets, amazing places you’ve been to and anything you really want people to see really, well .. with limitation.
While there are around 400 million monthly active users on Instagram, most of us are sitting on Instagram for pure entertainment and posting pictures just to post, while celebrities and people with high follower counts are getting paid per post!
According to the Finance Buzz, some brands pay $5-$10 per thousand followers, others $100 per 100 followers and some pay by offering the Instagram user free merchandise! If you have 500,000 followers on Instagram you could charge up to $3,000 (a little over £2,000) per Instagram post!
The heartbreaking part is where I tell you about how much celebrities make per post… although $3,000 for an Instagram post while not being “famous” is quite decent.
Celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevigne, and Gigi Hadid get paid anywhere from $125,000 to $300,000 per post (roughly £86,187.50 – £206,850). While the average salary for a women, working full time in 2013 was $30,000, these ladies get it just by posting one silly little picture. A picture’s worth a thousand words? More like thousands of dollars, thank you social media!

@newyorkcity is run by 25 year old Liz Eswein (@lizeswein) with 1.3 million users. Liz started using Instagram when it first began and now gets paid over $100,000 per post! I definitely recommend checking her Instagram out, the pictures are phenomenal, some serious Instagram game.

Although @kendalljenner is a worldwide known model, it’s still shocking to think of how much she gets paid for social media posts and the brands she endorses! 20 years old, endorsing brands such as Calvin Klein, and 48.1M followers on Instagram …must be a tough life!
@hudabeauty is run by 32-year-old mum, Huda Kattan. Who’s gone from beauty blogger, to business women! She’s quite active on Instagram, with four to twelve posts A DAY, it’s a no brainer why she has 11.3M followers.

Scott Disick, or as he likes to be known as @letthelordbewithyou gets paid $15,000-$20,000 a post with 13.8M followers. While his Instagram consists mostly of selfies, the luxury life he lives, and luxury items he loves … no one said getting paid for Instagram was a hard job 😉
